10/7/2023 0 Comments Zoom shortcuts onshapeOnshape is the only company in the world 100% focused on cloud and mobile CAD, offering the first and only professional 3D CAD system that lets everyone on a design team work together using any web browser, phone, or tablet. “These are programmable so you’ll save considerable time accessing common commands and your design work will become more fluid, productive and fun.” About Onshape “3Dconnexion’s intelligent function keys and keyboard modifiers are always within reach of your fingers,” notes Henry. We are also delighted to see extensive support for the new CadMouse, the world’s first mouse designed for CAD professionals.”Ġ2 – The 3Dconnexion’s family of Space Pilot, Space Mouse, Space Navigator and CAD Mouse. “We think users will be amazed by the real-time, superior 3D navigation experience when using a 3D mouse in Onshape. ![]() “3Dconnexion is excited to be partnered with Onshape so early and be part of the full-cloud CAD story,” adds John Moseley, Director of Global Marketing for 3Dconnexion. “This was the most popular enhancement request from Onshape users – and we’re thrilled to be able to deliver this level of performance right in a web browser.” “Users of 3D mice expect to rotate, zoom, scroll and pan with far more ease than with a traditional mouse,” says Darren Henry, Onshape’s Director of Marketing. Onshape users simply need to install the 3Dconnexion driver for Windows and use the Chrome or Firefox browsers. So the main thing in your case here was your original curve profiles used to extrude the main body did not have lines tangent to the arcs.Partnering with 3Dconnexion, the leading developer of input devices for CAD professionals, Onshape is now compatible with the SpacePilot Pro, SpaceMouse Pro Wireless, SpaceMouse Wireless, SpaceNavigator, SpaceNavigator for Notebooks and the CadMouse. So spots that are somewhat close to being tangent but are off by a little bit can be particularly difficult. There is more like a "zone of overlap" instead of a crisp intersection in those cases. ![]() It's especially difficult to calculate intersections between shapes that meet at a shallow angle. If you know you are going to want to fillet something it's best to take extra care during the earliest stages of drawing profile curves to make sure they are of good quality.Īreas that meet up smoothly are easier for filleting to process because fillet surfaces between pieces that are tangent smooth will naturally meet up end to end while fillets that try to cross over a sharp creased edge need to be extended and intersected with each other. In your case here the main problem is that there are creases in these spots that you would want to be smooth: That said, you could probably get these done in Moi if the quality of the geometry was better.įillets are already difficult to calculate and giving them messy geometry makes things even more complicated. You may need to import your models that you want to fillet into a different CAD program like OnShape or Alibre and do the fillets over there instead of in MoI. Well I guess the fundamental problem is that filleting is a very complex and difficult operation and it takes a very large amount of time and effort to make a filleting engine that can handle any kind of geometry. 3dm model file so I can take a look and maybe give some suggestions on that specific case? ![]() If you are still having trouble making a particular selection can you please post the. ![]() In general though if there is a lot of stuff getting in your way and you're having difficulty selecting some particular object that usually means you need to be hiding things to simplify your working environment so you don't have so much stuff being displayed all at once. If you start on the right and drag towards the left that will make a dashed "crossing window" that will target anything that intersects the window even partially. That will make a window that will only select things that are completely inside the selection window. Then also you would want to start the selection on the left side and drag towards the right. Hi Nikita, if you hold down Shift+Ctrl that will force a selection window no matter where you click so you don't need a blank spot to start the window select.
